If you are Cape Town (like me), you are looking around and wondering what the heck happened to that brief period of sun we had just a couple of days ago. It was glorious and I miss it! But the fact still remains that it is almost Spring and despite the fact that it snowing here again, I am optimistic that we are almost on our way to playdates at the park and braais around the pool.
Maybe it’s the Spring in the air, or maybe it’s the fact that my kids are constantly exposing their little tummies, ankles or wrists for the World to see, but I feel the need to do a major revamp on their clothing.
In years past, we have managed to get at least a years worth of wear from their clothing (sometimes two or three – apparently my kids have inherited my dwarf-like genes). But those days are long gone, especially for Knox who has already outgrown things we bought for him at the beginning of Winter.
I’m going to be honest with you. Our kids are blessed to have Grandparents who love them and want to spoil them all the time, but our fashion senses are vastly different. I am so grateful for everything that they are given and they wear it do death (despite what it does to my eyeballs). As I said, I really am grateful, but I get so much joy buying them clothing that I would wear myself. When I realised it was the Sticky Fudge sale I went and bought ALL THE THINGS. Obviously. (Don’t miss their sale – click here to go right on through and drool over their goodies). I made sure to get sizes that are one above what they are currently wearing to make sure they can wear it all the way through Summer.
Another thing about their sale…
Getting rid of the old means making way for the new and as usual the Spring 2014 collection does not disappoint. This look book may not include Riya, BUT I’m not biased, unless it’s towards the Sticky Fudge brand as a whole.
The Spring 2014 Collection will be available on the Sticky Fudge Online Store on MONDAY 1 September 2014!
Next week we will share our top 5 boys and girls looks for the season – get your credit card ready, they’re amazing!
