It’s been so long since I saw the sun that I almost forgot what it looked like.
Not to mention what it felt like not to be bundled up in layers upon layers of cable knits and jeans, plus the fleecy blanket from the moment I get home. Seth hates it because I look like a homeless person, but I walk around with a massive, grey fleecy blanket draped over my shoulders from the moment I get home in the afternoons. I totally get behind that whole dress up for your husband thing – what I dress up as though, well, that’s up for debate.
Instead we bared our pale flesh in dresses and shorts and headed out to the beach. It was great!
The water might have been freezing, but the kids had a blast. Knox wanted to go deeper and deeper, but when he got up we wrapped him in every piece of extra clothing we has and he looked up at me, with teeth chattering and said, ‘Mommy I FWEEZING!!”
Looking for so many more days like this. Here’s to seeing you a lot more Mr Sun.
